Job summary

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point College of Natural Resources seeks a Director and UW Extension Specialist to lead the Extension Lakes program, overseeing budgeting, personnel, and program delivery in collaboration with WDNR and UWEXT.

You will develop strategic plans, secure extramural funding, liaise with stakeholders, and report annually to CNR and WDNR, driving education on lakes, water policy, and community outreach.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in an appropriate field (e.g., environmental education, natural resources, public policy).
• Minimum of 5 years of professional leadership experience in related fields.
• Proven supervisory and budget management skills.
• Experience building partnerships with stakeholders and communities.
• Strong written and oral communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the Extension Lakes programming, budget, and personnel resources.
• Direct and implement strategic planning to manage financial and staffing resources.
• Secure extramural funding to support EL mission and collaborate with UWEXT, WDNR, and UW-Stevens Point.
• Serve as EL liaison to local, regional, and national stakeholders to advance programming.
