Job summary

Databricks seeks a Director, Event Technology to lead a high-performing team and evolve the systems that make corporate events reliable, secure, and scalable. You will guide a multi-year roadmap across flagship conferences, global tours, and field events, collaborating with Marketing leadership to drive adoption of key capabilities.

You will steward security, data protection, and vendor risk while aligning data from Salesforce, Marketo, and Databricks platforms for accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in event technology or marketing tech; 5+ years leading teams.
• Proven record of building and evolving a high-performing organization with strong leadership.
• Experience owning event technology strategy for flagship conferences with large attendee volumes.
• Broad experience across enterprise event management tech including mobile apps, check-in, signage, streaming, AV, and IT.
• Experience partnering on security, privacy, data protection, and vendor risk (GDPR/CCPA).
• Experience managing music-rights licensing and multi-million-dollar tech budgets and SaaS contracts.

Responsibilities

• Own and advance a multi-year event technology roadmap aligned with marketing leadership.
• Keep the event technology ecosystem launch-ready and scalable across registration, apps, meetings, content, check-in, and AV.
• Govern secure handling of attendee data with privacy, legal, and vendor-risk compliance.
• Strengthen a trusted data foundation connecting Salesforce, Marketo, and reporting partners.
• Lead budget stewardship, vendor strategy, and multi-year SaaS negotiations.
