Job summary

Mizuho is seeking a Director on its New York-based Securitization team focused on esoteric asset-backed securitizations. The role oversees origination, execution, and management of bank-funded securitizations, collaborating with coverage and the broader Securitized Products group.

The candidate will originate, syndicate and execute warehouse securitization transactions, prepare pitch books, negotiate terms, and build models for credit and collateral analysis across asset classes including

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• At least 7 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with term ABS and/or bank/conduit securitization structures.
• In-depth understanding of securitization market across asset classes.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Advanced transaction modeling skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Originate, syndicate and execute warehouse securitization transactions for esoteric assets.
• Generate pitch ideas, prepare pitch books, and join senior staff in meetings with clients.
• Negotiate term sheets and transaction documentation with new and existing customers.
• Prepare credit and ratings applications and negotiate internal approvals.
• Process amendments, waivers, and renewals, and review reports.
• Develop models and perform credit and collateral analysis on esoteric assets.
• Conduct market research and due diligence on customers and collateral pools.
