Job summary

Northwest Health in La Porte, IN seeks a Director of Environmental Services to lead the hospital environment, ensuring clean, safe, and compliant facilities. This role oversees housekeeping, waste management, linen services, and infection prevention protocols, driving efficiency and high-quality patient care.

You will supervise staff, manage vendor contracts, and collaborate with leadership to align with strategic goals and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field required or seven+ years of direct experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Master's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees environmental services operations including housekeeping, waste management, linen services and infection prevention cleaning protocols.
• Designs and delivers training programs on cleaning protocols and safety procedures.
• Negotiates vendor contracts for supplies and services to ensure cost efficiency and quality.
• Maintains regulatory compliance and conducts audits to meet healthcare standards.
• Leads staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development.
