Job summary

Corona Post Acute seeks a Director of Environmental Services to lead Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Laundry operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and compliant facility. You will oversee preventive maintenance, safety programs, and vendor coordination to uphold high care standards.

The role requires supervisory experience in healthcare settings, HVAC credentials, and strong ability to manage budgets while maintaining regulatory adherence and patient-focused service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-3 years of related supervisory experience in care environments preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring schematics.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and maintenance practices.
• HVAC certification or licensing is required.
• Ability to manage repair programs and equipment planning.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facilities regularly to keep grounds, buildings, and equipment safe, clean, and operational.
• Test and maintain fire alarm and emergency systems and document results.
• Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program and prioritize unscheduled work.
• Maintain heating/cooling units; pre-start systems before seasonal changes.
• Maintain disaster preparedness manual and conduct drills when needed.
• Manage procurement and inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment with approved vendors.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, HIPAA safety standards, and policies; report accidents and incidents.
• Lead on-the-job training and coordinate with external contractors as needed.
