  • 8+ years of progressive project, program, portfolio, or product management experience, including experience leading complex enterprise initiatives.

  • Demonstrated experience building, leading, or significantly maturing an Enterprise PMO, including governance, portfolio management, project lifecycle standards, and performance measurement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and continuously mature the Enterprise PMO, establishing scalable governance, methodologies, processes, tools, standards, and best practices.
  • Portfolio oversight for high-visibility initiatives across physical and digital products, technology, operations, and strategic programs; align with enterprise priorities.
  • Establish disciplined project lifecycle practices from intake and prioritization through planning, execution, change control, measurement, escalation, and closure.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive sponsors and functional leaders, facilitating alignment and timely decisions.
  • Establish consistent practices for risk, dependencies, resource constraints, scope changes, and organizational change requirements.
  • Develop meaningful project and portfolio metrics and dashboards for leadership visibility into health, timelines, capacity, risks, and outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, and improve PMO processes and enterprise workflows.
  • Ensure appropriate use of Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid methodologies based on business needs and risk.

Job description

The Director, Enterprise Project Management Office leads and continuously advances Plexus’ enterprise PMO, creating the governance, discipline, visibility, and accountability needed to successfully execute strategic initiatives across the organization.

This leader oversees a portfolio of complex, cross-functional initiatives spanning physical and digital products, technology, operations, and enterprise programs. The Director partners closely with senior leaders to align priorities, manage risk and change, drive timely decisions, and improve execution while leading and developing a high-performing team of Project Managers.

This role is ideal for a seasoned PMO leader who can balance enterprise strategy with disciplined execution and has demonstrated success building and maturing an Enterprise Project Management Office.
