Job Overview

The Global Communications team tells the story of Coursera's role in shaping the future of work and education, transforming lives through access to high-quality, job-relevant education. The team is high-impact, globally distributed, and works closely with key stakeholders to craft compelling narratives and tell stories at the right time.

As Director, Enterprise PR & Communications, you will lead global PR and communications strategies for Coursera's Enterprise segment, working across Business, Government, and Campus verticals. Your focus will be on creating stories about equal access to opportunities in the digital and AI economy, fostering cross-sector collaboration, and shaping the future of work and education. You will develop narratives, drive media coverage, secure speaking opportunities, and manage high-stakes GTM announcements, including partnerships and product launches.

You will report to the VP of Global Communications, advise enterprise leadership, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and work with external partners like coalitions and government entities. The role involves engaging with a wide range of stakeholders to influence communication strategies and promote Coursera’s mission worldwide. The ideal candidate is proactive, creative, a quick learner, and comfortable in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment, with strong writing, collaboration, and strategic skills.

This position is fully remote, US-based, with occasional travel for events.

Responsibilities
  • Lead global PR and thought leadership for Coursera’s Enterprise segments, including media coverage, speaking engagements, and reports to build credibility and influence global discussions.
  • Create compelling narratives for enterprise and corporate media that resonate across markets to drive demand.
  • Advise and collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams on GTM strategies and launches.
  • Draft key strategic artifacts like media talking points, bylines, keynote speeches, and press releases; coordinate media tours and speaking engagements for executives.
  • Identify and build relationships with relevant reporters to advance narratives.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify customer case studies and secure participation in initiatives that support business growth.
  • Coordinate with coalition partners such as WEF, World Bank, and UNESCO on initiatives and research.
  • Support internal and rapid response communications strategies.
  • Manage and mentor the Enterprise PR team and coordinate with external agencies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years in enterprise-focused communications roles, including PR strategy and cross-team collaboration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using data and insights to drive thought leadership and media engagement.
  • Proven ability to influence senior executives and cross-regional teams on projects.
  • Strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and multi-project management skills.
  • Experience with cross-cultural communication.
  • Familiarity with top-tier business and tech reporters.
Preferred Qualifications
  • In-house and agency experience; edtech or future of work familiarity.
  • Ability to manage senior executives and participate in strategic campaign planning.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace tools.
  • Experience with international campaigns outside the U.S.
  • Knowledge of workplace and economics reporters.
  • Passion for education and technology’s role in addressing global challenges.
  • Experience working with B2B analysts.

Compensation

Based on location, with ranges from $149,200 to $233,000 annually, plus bonuses and equity. Specific salaries depend on factors like job level, location, skills, and internal equity.
