Job description

ADP is hiring a Director, Enterprise Learning Platforms.

  • Do you thrive at the intersection of product management, platform strategy, and learner experience?
  • Are you passionate about delivering intelligent, scalable learning experiences for associates and clients worldwide?
  • Are you ready to lead the evolution of ADP’s Enterprise Learning ecosystem - including AI powered learning?

Well, this may be the role for you. Ready to make your mark?

As Director, Enterprise Learning Platforms, you will serve as the enterprise product management leader for the platforms and applications that enable ADP to deliver learning experiences to associates, clients, and consumers. The ecosystem includes our LMSs, internally developed applications, learner-facing AI technologies, and integrated technologies such as survey tools, virtual learning platforms, e-commerce, and collaboration tools.

You will serve as the enterprise owner of learning platform ecosystem and learner-facing AI technologies, defining direction and priorities, while partnering closely with leaders across the learning organization. You will lead platform analysis, governance execution, vendor coordination, and continuous improvement.

You will partner closely with the Learning Support and Learning Technology teams, which own configuration and engineering delivery, including integrations and automations for learning platforms. While development teams do not report into this role, you will operate in a matrixed model, providing product direction, requirements, prioritization, and governance to ensure delivery aligns with enterprise learning strategy and platform outcomes.

This role is accountable for ensuring ADP’s learning ecosystem is scalable, compliant, data-driven, and future-ready, supporting best-in-class learning experiences for associates, clients, and consumers across all regions and business units.

What you’ll do:
Here’s what you can expect on a typical day:
Platform Strategy & Ownership
  • Define and lead the enterprise roadmap for ADP’s third-party learning platforms, and internally developed applications aligned with business priorities and global learning needs.
  • Set the long-term vision for the learning ecosystem, including ecosystem expansion, and emerging technology adoption.
  • Ensure consistency, scalability, and alignment across all LMS instances and integrated platforms.
Product Management & Business Partnership
  • Lead intake, prioritization, and roadmap planning in partnership with Learning Operations, Instructional Design, Learning Delivery, and Business Unit Learning Leaders.
  • Lead continuous discovery to understand learner, administrator, facilitator, and business needs and translate them into opportunities.
  • Own portfolio prioritization and investment recommendations, including when to build, buy, integrate, consolidate, enhance, or retire capabilities.
  • Manage platform capabilities across their lifecycle, from concept and validation through launch, adoption, optimization, and retirement.
People & Functional Leadership
  • Coach, and develop the team driving ADP’s learning platform strategy, roadmap, and governance.
  • Set clear priorities, standards, and ways of working for the Learning Platforms function.
  • Delegate execution while retaining accountability for platform quality, compliance, and outcomes.
  • Lead through influence in a matrixed environment, aligning internal learning teams and external delivery partners to achieve platform outcomes.
Ecosystem Governance & Experience Enablement
  • Ensure platform and integration decisions support both human learning experiences and machine‑driven analytics and personalization.
  • Ensure learning data and metadata are structured to support analytics, personalization, and enterprise reporting.
  • Partner with Instructional Design and Delivery leaders to ensure learning experiences and content models can be effectively supported by the ecosystem.
AI ‑Powered Learning Experiences & Agents
  • Define and lead AI‑supported learning experiences that are grounded, safe, and instructionally aligned. Measure adoption, effectiveness, and learning impact to guide continued investment and improvement.
Vendor & Ecosystem Management
  • Serve as the senior owner of learning platform vendor relationships, setting direction for enhancements, issue resolution, and roadmap alignment.
  • Evaluate new learning technologies and ecosystem tools to support evolving business needs.
  • Partner with Procurement and Technology on vendor strategy and lifecycle decisions.
Cross‑Functional Leadership
  • Operate in a matrixed delivery model, providing product direction while execution remains with delivery teams.
  • Facilitate collaboration across Learning, Knowledge Management, HR, Analytics, Support and Technology.
Platform Performance & Continuous Improvement
  • Use product performance, user feedback, cost, risk, and business value to guide investment, enhancement, consolidation, and retirement decisions.
  • Define and monitor KPIs related to adoption, engagement, learning effectiveness, and operational health.
  • Use data and insights to continuously improve learning platform experiences and outcomes.

Experience. You have 10+ years of demonstrated experience leading product‑oriented platform strategy, including defining vision, roadmaps, and success measures for enterprise platforms. Additionally, you have 3+ years of demonstrated people leadership experience managing analysts and/or technical specialists.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
  • Strong grounding in product management principles, such as discovery, prioritization, outcome definition, and lifecycle management, applied in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business and learner needs into clear platform capabilities and investment decisions, balancing near‑term delivery with long‑term architecture.
  • Experience leading product direction through influence, partnering with development, analytics, content, and operations teams without direct delivery ownership.
  • Proven success leading platform strategy, governance, and vendor relationships in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate learning and business needs into platform solutions.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
  • You will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

For additional comfortability in the role:

  • Experience with AI-powered learning, adaptive learning, or learner-facing AI assistants.
  • Understanding of learning ecosystems, ideally with experience managing an LMS or similar platforms at scale.
  • Background in Instructional Design, Learning Strategy, Enablement, or Talent Development.
  • Experience in multinational learning environments.
  • Relevant certifications in learning technology, product management, or change management.
YOU'LL LOVE WORKING HERE BECAUSE YOU CAN:
  • Collaborate. We value courage, ownership, and respect to find the best solutions together.
  • Deliver at epic scale. Your work will shape learning experiences for associates and clients worldwide.
  • Be surrounded by curious learners. We stay agile, learn from mistakes, and grow together.
  • Act like an owner & doer. You’ll set direction and see your strategy come to life.
  • Give back to others. We do the right thing for our clients, associates, and communities.
  • Join a company committed to equality and equity. We’re building a culture where everyone belongs.
