Job summary

Horizon Media is seeking a Senior Data Governance Lead to drive enterprise governance across data assets. You will establish data stewardship, define ownership and implement controls that improve data quality and accessibility.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, legal and security teams to ensure regulatory alignment and robust data handling practices. The role emphasizes transforming Horizon’s data governance maturity while supporting privacy by design and cross‑functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 6–8 years of experience in Data Governance or related field.
• Experience implementing enterprise governance frameworks and governance technologies.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles including data quality and metadata management.
• Knowledge of GDPR, CPRA/CCPA and other privacy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Execute enterprise data governance framework, policies, standards and procedures.
• Establish and manage the Data Stewardship Program across business and tech teams.
• Lead initiatives to improve data quality, metadata repositories and data catalogs.
• Collaborate with Legal, Privacy and Information Security to ensure compliance.
