Director of Enterprise Applications – D365 Finance Systems

Location: Brookhaven, GA 30319 (Hybrid – Near Atlanta)

About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced technology leader to head enterprise finance systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O). In this strategic role, you'll lead modernization efforts, enhance system performance, and bridge the gap between IT and Finance for a mid-size enterprise. This is a hybrid opportunity based near Atlanta, ideal for someone who thrives on cross‑functional collaboration and high‑impact delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute a multi‑year strategy for finance applications, with emphasis on Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.
• Lead a dynamic team of developers, analysts, and system experts (15–20 staff), ensuring agile delivery and operational excellence.
• Oversee all configurations and support related to core finance modules: GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, and Project Accounting.
• Architect and support integrations with enterprise platforms such as claims, contracts, cancellations, and data warehouses.
• Drive continuous improvement in performance, scalability, audit readiness, and user adoption.
• Collaborate closely with executive leadership to align IT strategy with financial goals and compliance requirements.
• Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and SLAs.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of experience leading enterprise application teams in finance‑focused environments.
• At least 5 years hands‑on with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O (implementation through production).
• Background in legacy system oversight (e.g., Microsoft Great Plains).
• Familiarity with D365 integrations, customizations, and development tools.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Dynamics 365 certifications (Finance, Consulting, Development) are a major plus.
• Industry experience in automotive, insurance, or financial services is a bonus.
