Job summary

Five9 is seeking a Director of Account Sales to lead a Commercial Account Director team, focusing on retention and revenue growth for existing Five9 customers. Based in the Bay Area, you will coach, mentor, and drive a high-velocity SaaS sales program with a strong track record of closing enterprise software deals.

Responsibilities include coaching, pipeline development, and quarterly business reviews, with a hybrid work model (San Ramon/San Francisco area).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Proven track record in high-volume transaction sales with 100+ deals per quarter.
• Excellent C-level communication skills.
• 5+ years enterprise software/SaaS/cloud sales with 3+ years direct sales management.
• Experience leading SaaS/Cloud sales teams.
• Proven ability to teach, coach and train sales methodologies.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide and manage the activities of Account Directors to exceed revenue goals.
• Ensure team members prospect, discovery calls, demos, build pipeline, and move opportunities toward a win.
• Impact value realization and drive retention and renewal of customers.
• Prepare, coach, and support the sales team in their meetings with customers.
• Manage the closing of current-quarter deals while nurturing longer-term opportunities.
• Coordinate and manage weekly one-on-one meetings with the team.
• Conduct meetings and training sessions to share best practices.
• Attract, hire, onboard, train, and retain top sales talent; manage attrition.
• Display understanding of business needs and revenue potential for accounts.
• Work with team members individually for ongoing development and teamwork.
• Prepare Account Directors for Quarterly Business Reviews.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership team
