Job summary

Novelis, a global leader in aluminum recycling and rolling, is building a new Engineering & Operations Support organization in North America. The Director will lead senior engineers, reliability, maintenance, and quality across plants, reporting to the SVP Operations, and shaping the function's direction.

This hands-on leader will drive governance, front-end engineering, capital projects, and continuous improvement while partnering with senior leaders to achieve safety, quality and financial

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 15+ years in manufacturing engineering, quality, reliability, maintenance, or related operations.
• Experience leading managers in a multi-site, matrixed environment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, Six Sigma, CAPA and related quality methods.
• Strong business acumen, communication, and executive influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a new centralized engineering, reliability, maintenance, and quality organization.
• Provide governance for feasibility studies, front-end engineering and project development.
• Oversee safety, environmental compliance and management-of-change for projects.
• Drive root-cause analysis and prevention of recurrence for major quality issues.
• Advance asset performance through proactive maintenance and reliability programs.
• Develop technical talent and align stakeholders across the organization.
