Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Advanced degree in engineering, business administration or closely related field is desirable.
• State of Hawaii Professional Electrical Engineer License.
• Extensive 10+ years of progressively responsible engineering experience.
• Extensive 7+ years of leadership directing engineering professionals.
• Experience overseeing major capital and O&M programs.
• Experience leading engineering functions across multiple locations or operating companies.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic leadership and oversight for engineering functions supporting transmission, distribution, substation, grid modernization and customer engineering programs.
• Manages engineering resources to ensure safe, reliable, compliant and cost-effective design of utility infrastructure.
• Establishes engineering strategy, standards, and performance objectives aligned with company goals.
• Leads organizational change, workforce development and performance management across the division.
