Job summary

The NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) is seeking a senior leader for its Enforcement Analytics Team within the Research and Analytics Division (RAD). You will partner with investigators and attorneys to convert data into evidence for enforcement and relief for consumers and workers.

Lead the team, define roles, recruit managers, and set standards for methodology and documentation so findings stand in court. Oversee analytics products and policy shaping to support DCWP laws.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in business or public administration, economics, labor or industrial relations, statistics or closely related field required.
• Bachelor's degree with five years of professional experience, including 18 months in executive/managerial/supervisory capacity.
• Education/experience equivalent paths allowed with explicit degree requirement for bachelor's and 18 months supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Build the Enforcement Analytics Team: define roles, structures, recruit, and develop managers.
• Set agenda with enforcement attorneys and agency leadership to determine priority industries and evidence needed.
• Ensure methodology, documentation, and reviews are robust to withstand expert scrutiny and negotiations.
• Direct analytics product development processing business records, worker data, and consumer complaints at scale.
• Shape technology policy and align rules with how analytics actually operate and can be enforced.

Education
