A leading private equity investor is hiring a Director-level leader to sit at the intersection of the investment team and its portfolio — shaping how energy transition exposure and climate risk are assessed pre- and post-deal across a US portfolio.

This isn't a compliance seat. You'll be embedded in the investment process: advising on diligence for target assets, building the sustainable finance narrative for LPs, and working directly with portfolio company leadership to turn transition risk into commercial upside.

What you'll own:

• Energy transition and climate risk diligence input across the deal lifecycle, working alongside deal teams
• Portfolio-wide climate risk strategy, translated into operational plans for portfolio company management
• LP and investor reporting on sustainable finance metrics and value creation outcomes
• Building credibility as the go-to voice on energy transition and climate risk with GPs, CFOs, and portfolio CEOs

What you'll bring:

• A track record in energy transition, climate risk, or sustainable finance within private equity, infrastructure, or a relevant advisory/investment background
• Genuine commercial fluency — comfortable in front of investment committees, not just writing frameworks
• Experience translating regulatory and climate risk into deal and operational decisions
• Gravitas to influence senior stakeholders who don't report to you
