Job summary

Metric DCX is seeking a Director, Energy Strategy & Platform Development to lead the creation of the PMO, operating model, and governance for the Energy Strategy & Development function. You will translate strategy into repeatable processes and tools, guiding cross-functional teams across development, engineering, commercial and external partners.

• You’ll ideally have experience: Building or scaling PMOs, operating models or complex programs; Turning strategy into practical processes and execution frameworks; Developing tools, templates, playbooks and reporting structures; Implementing project management systems; Managing multiple stakeholders and workstreams across complex infrastructure programs; Leading teams and external partners; Operating comfortably between strategy and execution.

• Helping connect utility procurement, interconnection, BTM generation, storage and other energy workstreams
• Supporting the development of the organizational structure as the energy function continues to grow
• Working cross-functionally with development, engineering, commercial and other internal teams
• Coordinating with sister portfolio companies where there are opportunities to collaborate on energy initiatives
• Managing external PMO and delivery partners where required

Metric DCX is supporting a global data center infrastructure developer backed by a major institutional investment group, with an established presence across North America, Europe and Asia.

The business develops and operates large-scale data center infrastructure for some of the world's largest cloud, technology and enterprise customers. With a significant development pipeline and projects across multiple power markets, the organization is continuing to expand its energy capabilities alongside the growth of the data center sector.

As demand for power continues to accelerate, the business is taking a broader approach to energy development, combining utility power and interconnection with behind-the-meter generation, storage and other emerging energy solutions.

The Energy Strategy & Development function is now scaling to support this growth, creating an opportunity for a Director, Energy Strategy & Platform Development to help establish the structure, processes and operating model around the function.

The Role

This is a senior role within the Energy Strategy & Development organization, working closely with leadership to build the infrastructure around the energy strategy.

The focus is on creating the processes, tools, governance, reporting and operating structure that allow the team to execute effectively across a growing portfolio of projects.
