Job description

Job Description

As part of the Global Clinical Supplies (GCS) organization, the Director, End-to-End Systems Integration will be responsible for the strategy, operational robustness, and continuous improvement of all GCS-facing systems integrations, with a primary focus on SAP integrations, including (but not limited to) IRT, Veeva, and external vendor interfaces. This role will ensure that integration services are stable, monitored, and aligned to business needs across the clinical supply ecosystem.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Head of Clinical Supply Systems, this position will partner closely with business system owners, IT, subject matter experts (SMEs), and external vendors to ensure integration performance, reliability, and issue resolution are managed proactively. The role will also oversee the health monitoring framework for integrations, including definition and tracking of KPIs, incident trends, root cause analysis, and remediation activities.

Strategic Alignment & Integration Governance
  • Own the strategy and operational framework for GCS-facing end-to-end systems integrations.
  • Partner with business system owners, IT, and SMEs to align integration priorities with business process needs, system roadmaps, and operational risk.
  • Support governance discussions related to integration dependencies, enhancements, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
  • Ensure integration approaches are consistent with enterprise architecture, data flow standards, and validation expectations.
Integration Operations & Health Monitoring
  • Oversee processes for monitoring the health of critical integrations, including proactive detection of issues, exception handling, and escalation management.
  • Work closely with IT support teams to define, track, and report integration KPIs and recurring incident trends.
  • Coordinate triage and resolution of integration defects or failures in collaboration with IT, vendors, and business system owners.
  • Drive visibility into integration performance through dashboards, status reporting, and management reviews.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Serve as the key connector between GCS business teams, IT, and Business System Owners for integration-related strategy and execution.
  • Facilitate timely decision-making across stakeholder groups by translating technical issues into business impact and business needs into technical requirements.
  • Partner with SMEs to define functional requirements, data mapping needs, exception handling, and operational support processes.
  • Support vendor coordination for interface changes, upgrades, testing, and production support.
Continuous Improvement & Robustness
  • Support the strategy for continuous improvement of integration robustness, reliability, and scalability.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to reduce manual intervention, improve automation, strengthen controls, and simplify integration architecture.
  • Lead or support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for recurring integration issues.
  • Contribute to long-term planning for future-state integration capabilities and resilience.
Delivery Support & Lifecycle Management
  • Ensure integration changes are assessed for business impact, tested appropriately, and implemented with adequate controls and documentation.
  • Support release planning, cutover readiness, and hypercare for integration-related deployments.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure effective operational support models are in place for ongoing integration services.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant GxP, validation, and data integrity requirements where applicable.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, supply chain, IT, or related industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting complex system integrations, interface operations, or digital technology initiatives involving SAP.
  • Demonstrated experience working with SAP integrations, IRT/RTSM, Veeva, and external vendor interfaces in a regulated business environment.
Technical & Operational Skills:

  • Strong understanding of integration platforms, including OpenText, Informatica, and SAP BTP
  • Experience defining and tracking KPIs and service metrics for digital system health and performance.

Collaboration & Leadership:
  • Proven ability to influence and coordinate across business system owners, IT, SMEs, and vendors without direct line authority.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and issue resolution skills.
  • Ability to translate between business needs and technical implementation considerations.
Preferred Qualifications:
