Job summary

Jacob seeks a Director of Supply Chain to own end-to-end operations—from material procurement to manufacturing, inventory, freight, and fulfillment. The role delivers a reliable, scalable function with hands-on leadership in a growing CPG business.

You will build systems, drive day-to-day execution, and partner with Finance/Growth to align forecasts with purchasing and replenishment. NYC-based, travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of experience in supply chain or operations at a CPG company, including leadership ownership.
• Experience building supply-chain systems and processes in a growing business with limited infrastructure; food or beverage experience preferred.
• Track record of managing contract manufacturing, procurement, inventory, freight, and fulfillment across DTC and retail channels.
• Strong planning and commercial judgment, with the ability to balance service levels, product quality, cost, and cash requirements.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard for data accuracy.
• Willingness to travel to manufacturing and logistics partners as the work requires.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing performance: Lead production planning and execution with contract manufacturers.
• Build manufacturing resilience: Lead capacity planning and supply continuity with our network of product development consultants.
• Own procurement and supplier relationships: Manage ingredient and packaging procurement, negotiate pricing, manage POs, ensure timely delivery.
• Lead demand and supply planning: Translate forecasts, campaigns, launches into purchasing, production, and replenishment plans.
• Build reliable inventory systems: Own inventory-management system and related processes across our network.
• Reconcile production and inventory: Track receipts, consumption, waste, output; investigate discrepancies and prevent errors.
• Own freight and fulfillment: Manage movement between suppliers, manufacturers, warehouses, and partners for ecommerce and retail.
• Protect product quality: Ensure manufacturing partners meet specs; maintain traceability and resolve quality issues.
• Improve supply-chain economics and visibility: Track costs and surface risks with practical mitigation plans.
