Job summary

Brooklyn Law School in Downtown Brooklyn seeks a Director of Employer Relations to build and sustain partnerships with employers, alumni, and students to boost internships and post-graduate employment. You will report to the Associate Dean of Career Development and guide outreach, events, and data reporting.

Required: Bachelor's degree, 3+ years in employer relations, knowledge of legal hiring, and leadership. Preferred: Master's or JD and law recruitment experience. Hybrid schedule is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 3+ years of employer relations experience.
• Knowledge of legal hiring processes.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and execute with attention to detail.
• 1+ year supervising professional staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal and quantitative skills.
• Team player with customer service orientation.
• Occasional evenings for events.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with employers and partners, tracking progress toward program goals.
• Proactively contact employers regarding externships, summer and post-graduate opportunities.
• Develop strategies to cultivate new job leads.
• Oversee and document employer outreach and communications.
• Organize recruitment events including big law recruitment, Meet the Firms, and career fairs.
• Track and advertise major job fairs and fellowships.
• Develop new programs to increase employer engagement.
• Analyze data on job market trends for staff and faculty.
• Maintain employer postings and databases.
• Coordinate postings with all employers and serve as a point of contact for postings.
