Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing engineering groups.
• 15 years’ experience desired in areas such as software architecture, embedded systems, and tool deployment.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and testing embedded software (C/C++, assembly).
• Experience with imaging systems and electro-optical components is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead the software engineering group from concept to manufacturing.
• Allocate resources, hire, conduct reviews, and set realistic goals.
• Validate technical solutions and schedules proposed by design engineers.
• Report group performance and capacity utilization.
• Establish a quality process and enable efficient design reuse with room for innovation.
• Hands-on participation in design cycles, coding, and troubleshooting as needed.
• Maintain documentation: meeting minutes, specifications, validation docs.
• Contribute to project plans, schedules, and proposals.
