Job summary

Washington University seeks a Director to lead Eliot Society volunteer engagement and regional committees. You will partner with Advancement colleagues to drive strategy, recruitment, training, and leadership succession, shaping donor and prospect engagement across territories.

Based on the role, expect travel about 15% annually and collaboration across units to deliver cross-functional programs for high-level volunteers and alumni relations. The position resides in St. Louis, MO.

Qualifications

• Experience in university advancement or complex organizations.
• Proven ability to manage high-level volunteers and donor relations.
• Experience with volunteer recruitment, training, and leadership succession.

Responsibilities

• Manage Eliot Society regional committees and volunteer relationships.
• Serve as staff liaison for chairs and members; lead planning, meetings, outreach, stewardship.
• Own volunteer recruitment, onboarding, training, retention, and succession.
• Coordinate with gift officers and BI teams on donor strategy and regional engagement.
