Job summary

California State University, Fullerton is seeking a Director for the Educational Opportunity Program and First-Generation Student Initiatives. The role leads EOP and First-Generation programs, guiding staff, retention strategies, and enrollment management to improve persistence and graduation rates.

The position is housed in Student Academic Services within the Division of Student Affairs. The Director will manage program operations, coordinate services, develop the budget, and represent CSUF in

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible student affairs experience in retention and/or student success programs.
• Experience advising students individually and in groups; ability to analyze and resolve complex student services problems.
• Experience planning and implementing programs to retain and graduate students.
• Experience supervising staff and leading others.
• Knowledge of student development and activities for college-level programs.
• Experience with enrollment management and data/reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administration, management, and leadership of EOP and First-Generation Student Initiatives.
• Direct enrollment management processes including recruitment, selection, yields, and admission for first-year and transfer students to EOP.
• Coordinate programs such as First-Generation Student Programming, Summer Bridge, Learning Community, and peer mentor initiatives.
• Develop and manage the annual operating budget for EOP and related initiatives.
• Represent CSUF at statewide EOP meetings and contribute to establishing a First-Generation Student Center.
