Providence is seeking a Director of Donor Engagement and Operations in Torrance, California. This role reports to the Chief Philanthropy Officer and is key in driving the Foundation's success through strategic planning and donor relations management.
The successful candidate will oversee donor engagement activities, develop comprehensive stewardship programs, and lead a dedicated team to enhance relationships and drive fundraising initiatives. A Bachelor's degree and extensive experience in philanthropy are required.
The Director of Donor Engagement and Operations reports to the Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO) or Ministry Philanthropy Leader and supports the direction and overall effectiveness of the Foundation in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Providence. The Director participates in strategic planning, goal setting, reporting, and budgeting and serves as a vital contributor in creating, implementing, integrating, assessing, and continuously improving Foundation strategies, processes, and procedures that drive successful philanthropic outcomes.
The Director oversees donor engagement activities, Foundation Board operations, and operational planning, including staffing and space considerations, while fostering an engaging, productive, and welcoming environment. The Director is responsible for developing and advancing a comprehensive donor relations program that promotes a culture of gratitude, including gift acknowledgment, stewardship, recognition, and engagement—supporting the Foundation’s fundraising goals, with an emphasis on major and principal gifts.
The Director builds and mentors a team of professionals responsible for stewarding gifts and engaging donors to strengthen long‑term relationships with the Providence Foundation.

Pay Range: $68.62 - $108.34
Job Benefits: The full pay range is listed in accordance with applicable law. Final compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, organizational compensation alignment, and the approved hiring department budget for the position. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation and benefits.
