Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools seeks a Director of Web-based Applications and Systems to lead the district's website and related platforms, ensuring solutions align with instructional and operational needs under minimal supervision.

This senior role manages technology projects, oversees budget and staff, collaborates with Communications, maintains security and accessibility, and drives the district's online presence and usability across intranet and internet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, web design, multimedia, or related field required.
• Minimum of three years of program/project management experience.
• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience designing/developing websites and social media integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, supervise, and evaluate assigned programs/staff in the district.
• Oversee district-wide technology projects with on-time delivery and budget adherence.
• Collaborate with departments to align content management, LMS, intranet, and IT services.
• Direct and evaluate work, develop project plans, status reports and budgets.
• Ensure security, privacy, and compliance across platforms.
• Maintain and develop SOPs and documentation; manage vendor and tool ecosystems.
