Job summary

Accendra Health is seeking a Director of Direct Procurement & Category Management to lead enterprise‑wide sourcing for direct materials, finished goods, and packaging. You will shape category strategy, manage supplier relationships, and ensure continuity of supply across our healthcare products footprint.

The role requires 10+ years in procurement with 5+ years in leadership, strong negotiation skills, and deep knowledge of regulatory and quality requirements in healthcare.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field required.
• 10+ years progressive procurement, sourcing, category management, healthcare experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing procurement or category teams.
• Experience leading direct material sourcing strategies and supplier management programs.
• Experience supporting manufacturing and healthcare products environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of contracting, supplier risk, quality systems and regulatory considerations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long‑term direct procurement and category strategies.
• Align procurement with operations, quality, regulatory and financial objectives.
• Lead planning for raw materials, components, packaging, and contract manufacturing.
• Establish sourcing strategies ensuring supply security, quality, and cost competitiveness.
• Lead supplier governance programs focused on performance and innovation.
• Manage executive relationships with strategic suppliers and partners.
• Partner with Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Operations on supplier compliance.
• Drive value through cost optimization, productivity and total-cost analyses.
• Lead negotiations on long‑term agreements and capacity commitments.
