Job summary

Accendra Health, Inc. is seeking a Director of Direct Procurement & Category Management to lead enterprise-wide sourcing strategies for direct materials, packaging, and production-related spend.

You will partner across Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, and Product Management to ensure reliable supply, cost competitiveness, and patient outcomes. The role requires a strong track record in strategic sourcing, supplier governance, and leadership of procurement teams, with experience in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years progressive procurement, sourcing, or category management experience in healthcare/procurement.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing procurement or category management teams.
• Proven success in direct material sourcing strategies and supplier management programs.
• Experience supporting manufacturing and healthcare products (devices, pharmaceutical, biotech) is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of category management, supplier risk management, quality systems, and supply continuity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-term direct procurement and category strategies across materials and finished goods.
• Lead supply continuity and risk mitigation strategies for critical inputs.
• Oversee category strategy development and executive negotiations.
• Establish supplier governance and drive performance improvements.
• Partner with Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Operations to ensure compliance and supplier qualification.
• Drive cost optimization, productivity, and value creation with analytics and reporting.
• Lead and develop category teams and promote enterprise collaboration.
• Ensure supply resilience and alignment with growth objectives.
