Job summary

Accendra Health is seeking a Director of Direct Procurement & Category Management to lead enterprise-wide sourcing strategies for direct materials and related spend. You will work closely with Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Product Management, and Finance to ensure reliable supply, optimal costs, and compliant operations.

This strategic role emphasizes supplier governance, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive long-term growth and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field required.
• 10+ years of progressive procurement, sourcing, category management, supply chain, healthcare products, medical device, pharmaceuticals, biotech, or related experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing procurement or category management teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute direct procurement and category strategies across categories including raw materials, components, packaging, and finished goods.
• Lead supplier governance and risk management, quality collaboration, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Drive executive-level negotiations and supplier relationships to ensure supply continuity and value realization.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Product Management, and Finance to align on strategic sourcing objectives.
