Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced manufacturing transformation leader to help modernize and standardize operations across a large, multi site manufacturing network in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. This leader will be responsible for improving how our manufacturing operations work as we implement modern enterprise technology. The role will partner closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Technology teams to design more consistent and effective processes, introduce new systems, and ensure those changes are successfully adopted across our plants. This is a highly visible, hands on leadership role for someone who understands manufacturing operations as well as large scale business transformation. The ideal candidate can move comfortably between the plant floor and executive discussions, build strong teams, influence leaders through significant change, and turn technology investments into measurable operational improvements. Significant travel to manufacturing locations is expected. This is a hybrid position that combines in person collaboration with flexibility. The role will work from the office three days per week, with preferred locations in Winchester, VA; Beachwood, OH; or Jasper, IN.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the transformation and standardization of manufacturing processes across multiple plants and geographies.
  • Define how key manufacturing processes should operate in the future, including production planning, scheduling, materials management, inventory, quality, purchasing, transportation, and supply planning.
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to ensure new enterprise systems effectively support manufacturing operations.
  • Balance companywide standardization with legitimate differences in products, customers, plant operations, and local requirements.
  • Lead large scale implementation efforts across manufacturing locations, ensuring plants are prepared for new processes and technology.
  • Work directly with plant leadership and employees to understand challenges, address resistance, and build adoption of new ways of working.
  • Establish clear measures for adoption and operational improvement and monitor results following implementation.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify the technology environment by replacing outdated or redundant systems and tools.
  • Build and lead a high performing transformation team responsible for supporting manufacturing process improvement and technology implementation.
  • Manage strategic relationships with outside implementation and consulting partners, ensuring commitments related to scope, timing, cost, and quality are met.
  • Partner across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Technology to resolve issues, make decisions, and maintain alignment throughout the transformation.
  • Ensure newly implemented processes and systems deliver sustainable improvements in areas such as efficiency, process consistency, data quality, and operational performance.
  • Capture lessons learned from each implementation and continuously improve the approach for future plant deployments.
Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, business transformation, manuf acturing technology, or a related field.
  • Significant experience working within discrete manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, materials, inventory, quality, procurement, and supply chain processes.
  • Experience leading or playing a significant leadership role in large scale enterprise system implementations within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading transformation or process improvement initiatives across multiple manufacturing locations.
  • Demonstrated ability to standardize processes while recognizing appropriate operational differences across plants or business units.
  • Strong change leadership experience, including successfully influencing leaders and employees through significant changes in processes, systems, and ways of working.
  • Experience building and leading large teams, including functional leaders and business professionals.
  • Experience managing external consulting or implementation partners.
  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly and directly.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 40 to 50 percent, including travel throughout the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP or another major enterprise resource planning platform.
  • Experience within configure to order, make to order, building products, cabinetry, or similarly complex manufacturing environments.
  • Experience leading transformation following a merger or acquisition.
  • Experience bringing multiple businesses, plants, or legacy systems onto common processes and technology.
  • Experience working with large consulting or technology implementation partners.
