Job summary

Case Western Reserve University is seeking a Director of the Freedman Center for Digital Scholarship to provide strategic leadership for the Digital Scholarship department and the center's programs. You will steer initiatives in scholarly communication, GIS, data management, and AI services, reporting to the KSL leadership team.

You will mentor staff, drive program strategy, and collaborate across the library to advance open scholarship and campus impact.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Library/Information Science or advanced degree with 10+ years of library leadership experience.
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage complex programs in an academic library.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Digital Scholarship department and Freedman Center.
• Oversee policies, services, and spaces; develop assessment for planning.
• Lead scholarly communication, open access, and open scholarship initiatives.
