Overview

The Director, Digital HR Platforms is responsible for leading the strategy, governance, delivery, and optimization of Alnylam's core HR platform. This role will oversee Alnylam's enterprise Human Capital Management (HCM) system, SuccessFactors, ensuring the platform is customer centric, scalable, integrated, and aligned with enterprise architecture.

The Director will also lead data foundations, data governance, integrations, and release management to ensure HR technology is reliable, compliant, and capable of supporting advanced analytics and AI-driven insights.

Reporting to the Executive Director, HR Digital Strategy & AI Integration, this leader will serve as the primary conduit between HR and IT for platform strategy, integration design, and digital enablement.

Key Responsibilities

Digital HR Platform Strategy & Ownership

• Develop and execute a multi-year digital HR platform strategy aligned to HR, business, and enterprise technology priorities.
• Serve as the platform owner for SuccessFactors, including Core HR, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Management, Time Tracking, and Learning, ensuring cohesive architecture and user experience.
• Drive platform design decisions that balance standardization, scalability, and business evolution.
• Ensure platform stability, data integrity, role-based security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Oversee product roadmap across all SuccessFactors modules, ensuring alignment with business needs and enterprise architecture.

Data Foundations & Governance

• Lead the development of HR data foundations, including data models, data flows, and data quality frameworks.
• Establish and maintain HR data governance standards in partnership with HR, IT, and enterprise data teams.
• Ensure HR data is accurate, accessible, and structured to support analytics, reporting, and AI-driven insights.
• Partner with the Insights & Innovation team to enable advanced analytics and workforce planning capabilities.

Integrations & Release Management

• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of integrations across HR, IT, Finance, and enterprise systems.
• Lead release management processes, including regression testing, change control, and communication.
• Ensure seamless coordination with IT on architecture, middleware, and integration standards.
• Maintain documentation, audit readiness, and operational support processes.

AI, Automation & Digital Enablement

• Identify opportunities to apply AI, automation, and workflow orchestration across HR platforms.
• Partner with HR Innovation, Analytics, and IT to scale digital solutions such as genAI, intelligent case management, and automated workflows.
• Promote digital-first, self-service, and automation-oriented approaches across HR operations.
• Stay current with emerging HR technologies and evaluate tools that enhance scalability and innovation.

Stakeholder Partnership & Governance

• Act as the strategic partner to HR COEs, HRBPs, People Operations, IT, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into scalable platform and data solutions.
• Lead HR technology governance forums to prioritize demand, manage enhancements, and align stakeholders on roadmap decisions.
• Support change management, communication, and adoption efforts to maximize value from HR platforms.

Leadership & Team Development

• Build and lead a high-performing team across platform management, data governance, integrations, and release management.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.
• Serve as a visible leader and subject matter expert across HR and the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in HR technology, digital platforms, or enterprise systems leadership.
• Experience managing SuccessFactors, as an enterprise HCM solution.
• Demonstrated success leading integrations, data governance initiatives, and large-scale platform optimization.
• Strong stakeholder partnership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across HR, IT, and business functions.
• Experience with AI, automation, or digital enablement.
• Experience in global and/or regulated environments preferred.

U.S. Pay Range

The pay range below reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
