Alnylam Pharmaceuticals is seeking a People Experience Partner to join our new People Experience team in Cambridge, MA. You will partner with managers across Expertise Areas to strengthen leadership, elevate performance, and foster collaboration, inclusion, integrity, and accountability.

You will coach managers on leadership capabilities, performance matters, and development, while handling discipline, Employee Relations, and offboarding support as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years HR experience required.
  • Experience in HR Generalist work, Employee Relations and Performance Management.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Ability to manage complex employee situations with discretion and neutrality.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills for manager coaching.
  • High emotional intelligence and sound judgement with empathetic decisions.
  • Data integrity and high-quality case management experience.
  • Ability to leverage case management systems and analyze data trends.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end case management, including documentation, escalation, and resolution in ServiceNow.

  • Provide guidance on leaves of absence and workplace accommodations.
  • Identify trends and insights across cases; recommend actions to improve culture and experience.
  • Support enterprise performance and compensation cycles by coaching managers and ensuring quality execution.

Job description

Overview

We are seeking a People Experience Partner to join our newly established People Experience team that will deliver a best-in-class employee and leader experience across the organization. This role will be responsible for partnering with Alnylam managers across Expertise Areas (EAs) to strengthen leadership capability, elevate performance, and foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion, integrity, and accountability. As a People Experience Partner, you will serve as a trusted advisor, enabling leaders to grow talent, navigate complex employee situations, and uphold Alnylam's commitment to its people and values.

This role will focus on providing managers with coaching and guidance on their own leadership capabilities as well as matters regarding employee performance and development. People Experience Partners will also work with managers and employees in cases of discipline and Employee Relations matters, and will support employee offboarding, when needed. This role will also provide important support to Alnylam's performance and compensation cycle.

This position is hybrid and will be primarily located in Cambridge, MA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a trusted People Experience Partner to leaders across Expertise Areas, coaching managers to strengthen leadership capability, team effectiveness, and performance in alignment with company values and culture.
  • Advise and coach managers on performance issues, including development plans and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), ensuring timely, fair, and welldocumented outcomes.
  • Own endtoend case management for assigned matters, including documentation, escalation, and resolution, leveraging ServiceNow to ensure accurate and consistent people processes.
  • Lead employee relations and disciplinary matters with discretion, empathy, and rigor, ensuring consistent application of policies, employment law, and best practices.
  • Partner closely with Employee Relations, Legal, HR Business Partners, and HR Capability teams on investigations, involuntary separations, reductions in force, and other highrisk or sensitive situations.
  • Provide guidance on absence management, leaves of absence, and workplace accommodations, collaborating with specialized teams where needed.
  • Identify trends, root causes, and insights across cases, proactively recommending actions to strengthen culture, leadership effectiveness, and the employee experience.
  • Support enterprise performance and compensation cycles by coaching managers and reinforcing consistent, highquality execution.
Qualifications
  • 5-10 years Human Resources experience required.
  • Experience with HR Generalist work, Employee Relations and Performance Management preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage complex employee situations with discretion and neutrality.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with experience providing manager coaching and development.
  • Demonstrated high emotional intelligence and sound judgement with the ability to make decisions with empathy as well as discipline to ensure consistency.
  • Able to operate in a disciplined environment with an eye to data integrity and high quality case management.
  • Able to leverage case management systems (ServiceNow a plus) and analyze data trends for ongoing continuous improvement.

U.S. Pay Range

$139,400.00 - $188,600.00

The pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
