The University of Miami seeks a Director, Development Initiatives to lead Sylvester Development and Medical Development programs in Miami, FL. You will evaluate, plan, implement and report on key initiatives, supporting campaigns and events to drive fundraising and program growth.

Ideal candidate has 7+ years in development or fundraising management, exceptional communication, project management, and leadership abilities to collaborate across divisions and with senior donors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with at least 7 years in development, major gifts fundraising, or fundraising management.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; highly organized, creative, and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and staff donor cultivation and stewardship events and related budgets.
• Negotiate vendor contracts and manage event production costs.
• Develop outlines, agendas, and briefing materials for events; liaise with internal/external contacts.
