Job summary

GATEWAY HEALTH SERVICES INC in Minnesota seeks a licensed Mental Health Professional to serve as Treatment Director, overseeing clinical operations and supervising staff. You will diagnose and treat mental health issues, provide psychotherapy to adults, and ensure compliance with DHS requirements.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in behavioral sciences or related field; licensed as LP, LPCC, LICSW, LMFT, CNS, or Psychiatric/NP or clinical license in progress.
  • Willingness to work with clients in intensive residential treatment services (IRTS).
  • Knowledge of DHS requirements and 245I statutes.
  • Proficient in diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Strong communication, teamwork and crisis management abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and enforce policies for mental health services; stay compliant with regulations.
  • Meet with CEO to review clinical performance and services.
  • Lead staff meetings and provide clinical consultation to staff.

We are seeking a licensed Mental Health Professional to join our administrative team as a Treatment Director! In this role, you will diagnose and treat psychological disorders, teach communication skills, assist clients in addressing dysfunctional behaviors, and guide them through crises. You will also see the day to day operations of the program and supervise staff.

SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY TO POSITION
  1. Implements and enforces all policies and procedures pertaining to the agency’s mental health services; stay current on changing policies, laws, and requirements for all mental health programs; and assures Federal and State regulations are being followed.
  2. Meets regularly with the CEO to share information regarding mental health services and review employee performance related to their clinical care of clients.
  3. Participate in regular meetings with team, operations, and management.
  4. Actively seeks out and provides education and outreach opportunities.
  5. Public Relations/Networking/Liaison
  6. Responsible for the reputation and public image of the agency
  7. Develop and maintain positive working relationships within the community.
  8. Refer clients to other professionals as needed.
  9. Communicate with other providers involved in mental health services.
  10. Maintain continued education on community resources.
  11. Have knowledge of all agency programs
  12. Promote creative problem solving and collaborative person-centered services by facilitating regular staff meetings and provide clinical consultation to staff.
  13. Plan for and train staff on clinical issues
  14. Reviews all clinical paperwork (e.g. Functional Assessments, Treatment/Service Plans, external Diagnostic Assessments)
  15. Conduct and write diagnostic assessments and interpretive summaries.
  16. Be available in the office or by phone for staff consultation.
  17. Provide psychotherapy to adults through individual, couple, group, and/or family.
  18. Make referrals, coordinate services, monitor and evaluate the delivery of services.
  19. Provide Community Based Services.
  20. Provide services in various billable locations.
  21. Maintain professional relationships with individuals we support, employees, DHS, counties, and other community providers.
  22. Create professional reports.
  23. Handle crisis situations and provide direction to staff when necessary.
  24. Identify client needs and treatment plan goals
  25. Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Qualified as a Mental Health Professional under the requirements of the Department of Human Services (DHS) with a Master’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or a related field, and licensed as one of the following:
    • Licensed Psychologist (LP), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), or is a Psychiatric or Osteopathic Physician, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, or is working on a clinical license.
  • A willingness and ability to work with clients receiving intensive residential treatment services (IRTS).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Department of Human Services requirements, policies and procedures for IRTS and 245I statues.
  • Thorough skill reading, writing and conducting diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Willingness to be trained in and implement restrictive procedures within the guidelines of 245I statues.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships students.
  • Ability to establish and maintain standards of behavior.
  • Ability to work as an effective member of a team with staff, clients, clinical providers, and the community through the building and maintaining of collaborative and positive relationships.
  • Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication that is maintained during high-stress and crisis situations.
  • General skill operating standard office equipment and applicable hardware and software.
