Job summary

Phaxis is seeking a senior leader with extensive Capital Markets experience to oversee data governance and data quality across Front Office, Middle Office, Operations, Risk and Finance. You will drive end-to-end data lifecycle activities for equities, fixed income, FX and derivatives, ensuring trusted data for pricing, reporting and regulatory needs.

• Senior management in Capital Markets with strong knowledge of Sales & Trading and end-to-end trade lifecycle across asset classes.
• Deep understanding of how markets data is created, processed, and consumed across Front Office, Middle Office and regulatory reporting.
• Proven leadership in Data Governance and Data Quality, establishing ownership, definitions, controls, and lineage.
• Ability to identify and resolve complex data issues by root-cause analyses and cross-team remediation.
• Experience partnering with Technology to translate needs into data and platform requirements for trading, risk, and reporting.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management across business and technology to implement governance and drive change.

Job description

• Senior management experience within Capital Markets, with strong knowledge of Sales & Trading and the end-to-end trade lifecycle across Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Futures, and Derivatives.
• Strong understanding of how critical Markets data is created, processed, and consumed across Front Office, Middle Office, Operations, Risk, Finance, and Regulatory functions, including trade, instrument, counterparty, pricing, position, settlement, and market data.
• Proven experience leading Data Governance and Data Quality initiatives, including establishing data ownership, business definitions, controls, standards, lineage, and processes to improve the accuracy and reliability of critical data.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve complex data issues by analyzing root causes, assessing business impact, prioritizing remediation, and driving solutions across business and technology teams.
• Strong experience partnering with Technology to translate business needs into data and platform requirements, define priorities, and shape solutions that support trading, operations, risk, valuation, and reporting processes.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience managing data professionals and influencing senior stakeholders across business and technology organizations to establish accountability, implement governance, and drive organizational change.
