Job summary

Vizient, Inc. seeks a Senior Data Engineering Lead to guide a team designing governed data solutions across enterprise analytics, reporting, and product-adjacent workflows.

You will partner with Kaufman Hall, Advisory, and Data Governance to translate business use cases into reusable data assets using Databricks and modern cloud data technologies. You will drive data usability, governance alignment, and security while mentoring engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience leading data engineering teams.
• Experience designing governed data solutions using Databricks and cloud data technologies.
• Strong SQL, data transformation, modeling, and validation skills.
• Experience with data governance, lineage, access controls, security, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop data engineers and technical contributors.
• Translate consulting analytics needs into governed data solution plans.
• Define and implement governed data access patterns and support workflows.
• Design and optimize data solutions using Databricks and cloud technologies.
• Create and maintain data documentation covering key fields, lineage, and retention.
