Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in Cambridge, MA is seeking a senior leader to guide the enterprise data science strategy and governance across biopharma programs. You will drive analytics, automation, and AI/ML applications, partnering with clinical, data management, IT, and leadership teams to enable data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities include developing data enablement strategies, creating KPIs and dashboards, overseeing automated data pipelines, and ensuring GxP and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.

Qualifications

Role

Lead enterprise data science strategy and governance within biopharma, focusing on analytics, automation, and AI/ML applications across multiple therapeutic areas.

Responsibilities

• develop and implement data enablement strategies
• create KPIs and dashboards
• guide analytical methodologies
• oversee automated data pipelines
• ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., GxP, 21 CFR Part 11)
• promote organizational innovation through emerging tech.
• Collaborate with clinical, data management, IT, and leadership teams to drive data-driven decisions and organizational change.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Life Sciences), with 8+ years (or 10+ with Bachelor's) of experience working with large datasets in a biopharma or healthcare context;
• expertise in analytics governance, automation, AI/ML, programming (e.g., Python, R, SQL), and data standards (CDISC, SDTM).

Preferred

• experience in clinical operations, digital health, and enterprise data transformation.
