Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine seeks a Director, Data, Data Science and AI to lead a team of data product engineers, data scientists, and ontology developers supporting the Therapeutics Development and Supply (TDS) organization.

You will build scalable data platforms and governance to deliver AI-ready data products, ensuring data quality and regulatory compliance across R&D and manufacturing ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or data science platform development, with at least 3 years in a people leadership role.
• Deep expertise in modern data stack technologies: cloud-based architectures (AWS, Snowflake), Python, SQL, graph databases, and semantic technologies, including knowledge graphs.
• Demonstrated experience building and scaling data teams that deliver enterprise-grade data products.
• Strong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence and align across technical and business stakeholders at the Senior Director and VP level.

Responsibilities

• Lead Data Product strategy and roadmap for TDS; align with DDSAI priorities and enable AI/ML readiness.
• Deliver high-quality, AI-ready data products for lighthouse projects and analytics needs.
• Design, build, and optimize scalable data product pipelines and platforms integrating data from diverse sources (ELNs, MES, LIMS, SAP, QC systems, clinical supply).
• Deploy data quality standards, lineage tracking, and governance in line with enterprise and GxP requirements.
• Ensure data integrity, model validation, and compliant data models in regulated environments.
