Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Data & Analytics leader to drive enterprise data governance, BI strategy, and data-driven decision making for client and internal teams. You will orchestrate cross-functional collaboration across Media, Analytics, Finance, and technology while maturing data frameworks and reporting platforms.

You will mentor managers and analysts, manage offshore resources, and ensure on-time delivery of data projects.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in data management, data engineering, data operations and/or business intelligence
• 5–6+ years’ experience in an advertising agency environment
• 6+ years’ experience with digital media data
• 4–6+ years’ experience in data governance and quality within data warehousing, ETL, and BI environments
• 5–6+ years’ experience in management roles, including direct reports and offshore teams
• 5–6+ years’ experience in client-facing roles
• Experience designing and delivering data management frameworks and reporting applications
• Advanced Excel proficiency and strong documentation skills

Responsibilities

Job description

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive data management, governance, and quality frameworks
• Lead adoption and enhancement of business intelligence tools, data warehousing solutions, and process automation
• Partner with stakeholders to streamline and standardize data and reporting applications
• Serve as strategic liaison among Media, Analytics, Strategy, Planning, Data Technology, Finance, vendors, and clients
• Oversee project planning, task assignment and prioritization, delivery timelines, and solution quality
• Resolve project roadblocks, manage offshore and onshore teams, and allocate resources
• Direct business rules, data cleansing, QA, troubleshooting, documentation, compliance, and process optimization
• Supervise, mentor, and grow managers, analysts, and offshore support teams
• Act as subject matter expert for client-facing initiatives and translate client requirements into internal insights
• Champion emerging technologies, workflow solutions, automation, and data-driven agency and client success

Requirements

• 8+ years’ experience in data management, data engineering, data operations and/or business intelligence
• 5–6+ years’ experience in an advertising agency environment
• 6+ years’ experience working with digital media data
• 4–6+ years’ experience in data governance and quality processes within data warehousing, ETL, and BI environments
• 5–6+ years’ experience in management roles, including managing direct reports and offshore teams
• 5–6+ years’ experience in client-facing roles
• Demonstrated success leading the design, development, and delivery of data management frameworks and reporting applications
• In-depth expertise with processes across multiple media channels and diverse datasets
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, multitasking, and project management skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex technical topics for various audiences
• Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data and process issues
• Experience with budgets, resource scoping, and agency operations
• Media industry experience highly preferred
• Advanced Excel required
• Experience with business intelligence, data management, transformation, storage/cloud, media, project management, and media planning tools
• Experience writing business and technical requirements documents
• Comfort with business rules design and BI tool administration
