Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as Director, Governance.

Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift

Position Location: This position is remote.

Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET)

Expectations for this Role:

Sentara Health is seeking a Director, Governance. The role involves managing or performing work across multiple areas of the organization’s IT Platform/Infrastructure, including analysis, development, and administration of:

• IT Systems Software, Hardware, and Databases
• Data & Voice Networks
• Data Processing Operations
• End User Technology & Software Support

The Director typically manages a department or small unit with multiple teams led by Managers or Team Leaders. Responsibilities include:

• Ownership of short to mid-term (1-3 years) execution of functional strategy and operational direction.
• Handling complex problems requiring extensive investigation and analysis.
• Influencing others to accept practices and approaches, and communicating effectively with executive leadership.
