Top healthcare system seeking a Director of Data Engineering. This is a leadership opportunity for someone who has successfully developed initiatives that enable scalable and efficient data architecture (including data warehousing and data lakes) in the healthcare domain. Will lead and mentor a team of senior managers and data engineers by sharing their expertise and promoting a culture of technical excellence. Build and deliver highly performing/scalable data products across different internal teams (clinical, operations, etc.) Leverage technical expertise to drive the creation of high-quality data products. Collaborate with enterprise architecture, infrastructure and information security teams to design and enable scalable solutions. Partner with different business units to adopt and implement industry best practices in data security and governance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, etc. Masters preferred.
• 12+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering and analytics in the healthcare domain. Must have experience working in healthcare.
• 5+ years of experience in Data architecture/modeling/integration/lake and data governance.
• Tools: AWS, Snowflake: Experience with cloud-based ELT Toolsets, Python
• Experience in agile or scrum methodologies.
• Understanding of data security protocols, encryption standards, data privacy and protection regulations, and best practices in access management
• Experience with EPIC.
