Job summary

Ll Oefentherapie is seeking a senior program leader to oversee data center construction projects with colocation providers in the U.S. West region. You will guide project managers, ensure on-time delivery, and maintain alignment with budget and quality standards.

You will direct design reviews, commissioning, and problem-solving documentation, and oversee risk mitigation. You will manage contracts with external vendors and ensure adherence to approved design plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the construction of data centers by colocation providers, ensuring delivery within timeline, budget, and quality parameters.
• Provides high-level leadership to project managers and sets strategic goals aligned with organizational objectives.
• Directs design review, commissioning, and problem-solving documentation to support project execution.
• Manages quality control processes to ensure construction activities meet design specs and industry standards.
• Leads site walks and oversees startup and commissioning phases of major data center projects.
• Coordinates risk identification and mitigation, communicating potential impacts to executive leadership.
• Acts as the primary contact between the company and colocation providers and manages vendor contracts.

Job description

Ideally, this position will be based in Arizona. Other locations within the U.S. West region will also be considered.

Oversees the construction of data centers by colocation providers, ensuring successful delivery of projects within the established timeline, budget, and quality parameters. Provides high-level leadership to project managers, setting strategic goals and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Directs the creation, review, and maintenance of documentation, including design review, commissioning, and problem-solving papers. Directs the oversight of quality control processes to ensure all construction activities meet design specifications and industry standards. Leads strategic site walks and oversees the startup and commissioning phases of major data center projects. Addresses gaps in risk identification and mitigation, and communicates potential impacts to executive leadership. Directs the role of primary point of contact between the company and colocation providers. Oversees the selection, negotiation, and management of contracts with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring contract compliance and performance and construction activities align with the approved design plans and specifications. Oversees the installation of power, cooling, networking, and structured cabling systems, ensuring adherence to quality standards and managing high-impact installation resolutions.
