Job summary

Alcor Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Director of Operations to lead the security operations, incident response, threat intelligence, and IAM security. The role reports to the Sr.

Director of Cybersecurity Services and focuses on maturing operations, process improvement, and alignment with business objectives. You will oversee SOC strategy, threat hunting, crisis management, insider risk, forensics, and collaboration with IT, legal, privacy, and cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cybersecurity or IT operations with strong execution.
• Proven leadership in security operations, governance, or risk management.
• Strong background in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, ITIL, Agile).
• Experience with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK).
• Familiarity with security technologies (SIEM, SOAR, EDR, cloud security).
• Excellent communication and leadership to drive alignment across security, IT, and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee SOC, threat monitoring, detection, and response with clear coverage and SLAs.
• Lead major cybersecurity incident coordination, communicate business impact, and ensure post-incident reviews.
• Manage employees and service providers, clarify responsibilities, assess staffing needs, and develop team capabilities.
• Assess SIEM, EDR, SOAR, and related capabilities; prioritize detection gaps, alert quality, automation, and tool effectiveness.
• Coordinate risk-based remediation with IT and business owners, track overdue critical exposures, and escalation of unresolved risks.
• Provide concise updates on incidents, operational performance, coverage gaps, risks, and decisions requiring leadership attention.
