Director – Cybersecurity Operations | Remote (U.S. Based)

Adeptis Group is partnered with a rapidly growing technology services provider on a key leadership hire within their Cybersecurity division. This is a standout opportunity for a hands-on leader to take ownership of SOC operations and help scale a national security practice supporting enterprise and mid-market clients across critical sectors.

With strong investment backing and a growing footprint across 40+ U.S. states, the business is looking for a Director to lead their security operations function, mentor technical teams, and shape the delivery of threat detection and response services.

The Role

As Director of Cybersecurity Operations, you’ll lead and evolve a national SOC capability delivering MDR, threat intel, and vulnerability management services. This is a strategic leadership role—focused on both operational excellence and forward-looking innovation.

You’ll be empowered to:

• Lead and scale SOC and Cyber Ops teams across the U.S.
• Define processes, playbooks, and service delivery frameworks
• Optimize technology use (Microsoft Security stack: MDE, MDO, Sentinel)
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and client CISOs
• Influence strategic investment and future service development

Your Background

You're a cybersecurity leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments. You've built or led SOCs, understand the nuances of MSSP/MDR delivery, and know how to mentor high-performing technical teams.

• 7+ years in cybersecurity operations, 3+ years in leadership
• Strong knowledge of SOC architecture, IR, and vulnerability management
• Familiarity with Microsoft security tools and MDR delivery
• Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Experience with budget and vendor management a plus
