Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Director of Customer Logistics to lead operations, safety, finance and customer relations for multiple warehouse locations.
The role drives LEAN and Continuous Improvement, expands service offerings, and may involve transportation, packaging or reverse logistics as needed. The position manages about $100M in operating revenue across accounts and guides location managers, with a focus on building relationships, achieving KPIs and developing teams.
The Director Customer Logistics is primarily responsible for operations management, safety, financial and customer relations for one or more customers with multiple warehouse locations (5). This individual is responsible for ensuring LEAN and Continuous Improvement deployment for assigned accounts and expanding business with current customers to support business changes and introduce new services. This position participates in business development activities with new customers and this position will typically manage $100M in operating revenue for multiple logistics/warehouse operations, as well as the complexity level of the business. Depending on the customer requirements, additional areas of responsibility may include transportation, packaging and/or reverse logistics. This position is responsible for leading, guiding, training and directing location managers at assigned accounts.
