Job summary

The ideal candidate will have a Graduate of a School of Nursing and significant management experience, coupled with a strong commitment to enhancing patient and staff satisfaction. A current Registered Nurse license in Georgia is required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a School of Nursing (Required).
  • Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License (Required).
  • 7 years of nursing experience, including 3 years of progressive management experience (Required).

Responsibilities

Under the Direction of the Vice President of Patient Services/Chief Nursing Officer, has administrative and operational responsibility for assigned departments, including management of cost and finance, human resources, operations, quality of care and clinical outcomes, patient, physician and staff satisfaction, change management and any other relevant responsibilities related to this position. Serves as part of the management team and Shared Governance Model focused on promoting the mission, vision and values, of PHC and Nursing Professional Practice, embracing a person-centered philosophy while promoting patient-family centered services across the continuum and enhancing value-driven outcomes.

What You Will Do
  • Develop standards of performance, policies and procedures for designated areas of responsibility.
  • Organize the areas of responsibility in accordance with administrative guidelines to provide specified nursing and patient care services that meet organizational, regulatory privacy, and Medical Staff guidelines.
  • Manage, implement and effect change.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and culture, promoting excellence in customer care.
  • Oversee planning, growth and strategic initiatives for assigned departments.
  • Function in an advisory capacity to the Vice President of Patient Services in evaluating proposed changes as they relate to these departments.
  • Direct implementation and ensure compliance with standards of nursing and professional practice that promote optimum health care delivery along the lifecycle continuum.
  • Identify opportunities for improved customer value.
  • Manage Quality Patient Care and Quality patient Outcomes.
  • Manage Patient/Physician/Staff Satisfaction.
  • Collect and analyze data to improve performance.
  • Serve as part of a collaborative management team focused on promoting the Mission, Vision and Values of Piedmont Healthcare. Write and or edit collateral material for marketing and public relations purposes including brochures, fliers, fact sheets, bios, and letters.
Qualifications
Education
  • Graduate of a School of Nursing (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
  • Master's degree in Nursing or related field (Preferred)
Work Experience
  • 7 years of nursing experience, including 3 years of progressive management experience (Required)
Licenses and Certifications
  • Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License (Required)
