We are looking for an experienced Healthcare & Life Sciences credit professional to join our world-class team as a Director, Credit. This is a high-impact role within a publicly traded organization, partnering with the Healthcare & Life Sciences Vertical Market Leader and Credit team to support and execute the firm's credit strategy. The Director will carry meaningful ownership of credit decisions, underwriting standards, transaction review, and portfolio management within the Healthcare & Life Sciences vertical.
The Director, Credit & Portfolio will be responsible for credit underwriting for prospective new portfolio companies as well as managing existing portfolio relationships. The successful candidate will have at least five years of directly applicable credit experience and will be deeply familiar with performance metrics ideally from Life Sciences/Healthcare industries and business models. This full-time position will report to the Managing Director and is based on-site, at our San Diego, CA office.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must, as the role requires ongoing collaboration with Origination team members and regular presentations to the Trinity Investment Committee. This position offers exposure to leading venture capital investors, and a wide cross-section of emerging growth companies within the Life Sciences/Healthcare landscape.

The annual base salary range for this position is $170,000 – $200,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses and restricted stock awards.
