Job summary

EnerSys, a global leader in stored energy solutions, seeks a Director of Corporate Reputation and External Affairs in Reading, PA. You will guide external communications, media relations, public affairs, and executive messaging for the CEO and CFO, aligning with investor relations and brand strategy.

The role requires strong writing, strategic thinking, and cross-functional leadership to shape EnerSys’ narrative across media, policymakers, customers, and employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Political Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate communications, marketing, public relations, executive communications, public affairs, media relations, or a related field.
• Experience with media relations, crisis communications within a publicly traded company.
• Experience supporting senior executives in a global organization with executive messaging and stakeholder communications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute proactive media relations strategies to increase visibility and support objectives.
• Draft press releases, media statements, and briefing materials.
• Lead media strategy for events and executive engagements (CEO/CFO).
• Serve as a company spokesperson at designated events and media engagements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of corporate messaging and brand standards.
• Monitor trends and manage crisis communications and special situations as needed.
