Job description

We're hiring a Director of Corporate Communications to join eos as a critical thought partner to our VP of Corporate Communications and a key driver of how eos shows up in the world.

This is a high-ownership role for someone who operates with both strategic instinct and operational discipline. You will lead workstreams — from managing agency partners day-to-day output to running our awards program to developing the employer brand channels. You'll be the connective tissue between internal teams and our external agency, ensuring that every communications opportunity is executed with quality, intention, and strategic alignment.

Responsibilities:

Agency Partnership & Comms Operations

  • Serve as eos’ primary internal liaison to agency partner — brief the agency on priorities, review pitch angles and target lists through an editorial lens before they go externally, and ensure all agency output reflects the right narrative before it reaches the VP
  • Own the corporate storytelling calendar— develop storytelling narratives, manage news release schedule, coordinate internal reviews, and ensure no deadline is missed
  • Monitor media coverage and competitive landscape; synthesize intelligence
  • Lead interview prep for key executives

Executive Visibility & Speaking

  • Own the vetting and management of speaking opportunities and maintain speaker tracker
  • Prepare executive bios, panel Q&A prep documents, and talking point frameworks
  • Own speaking engagement logistics — calendar coordination, prep calls, participant guidelines, bio delivery, and on-site briefing
  • Develop executive preparedness frameworks that ensure eos team members are positioned to make an impact at every appearance

Awards & Recognition

  • Own awards program end-to-end — maintain the awards tracker, manage the submissions calendar, and drive the cross-functional process with accountability
  • Lead narrative development for each nomination — gather data and case study materials cross-functionally, but shape the story rather than just compile the inputs
  • Write award submissions, sizzle reel briefs, case studies and leadership/rising star nominations with a clear point of view
  • Own award event logistics and ensure eos is represented professionally at every touchpoint

CSR & Cause Communications

  • Support execution of eos CSR initiatives — drive the workstream forward with clear accountability across internal and external deadlines
  • Serve as eos’ primary relationship manager with nonprofit partners and internal cross-functional teams; build and maintain those relationships independently
  • Develop integration plans ensuring CSR and cause-marketing moments are embedded in the broader communications calendar
  • Track CSR milestones and produce internal and external materials, including impact reports

Events & Industry Presence

  • Own eos’ industry presence calendar — manage the full lifecycle of conference and event participation from evaluation through execution
  • Make informed recommendations on event participation, sponsorships, and membership opportunities; bring a strategic lens, not just a logistics lens
  • Lead event execution including product shipments, sponsorship asset management, shoot logistics, and on-site coordination
  • Cascade conference and membership opportunities to the broader organization with context and a recommended course of action

Employer Brand & Cross-Functional Work

  • Serve as an active communications partner to HR — contribute expertise to internal announcements, town hall materials, and company-wide moments
  • Support the LinkedIn content calendar — ensure corporate communications narratives, business milestones, and brand moments are sequenced intentionally and integrated effectively
  • Bring a strong editorial instinct to corporate channel content and a cultural antenna for what will resonate
  • Develop content for employer brand channels with a consistent and compelling internal voice
  • Identify synergies between internal and external storytelling — moments where narratives can feed earned media or reinforce the corporate story
  • Support eos foundational messaging assets — maintain and evolve the company boilerplate, executive bios, and core narrative documents

Requirements:

  • 10–12+ years of corporate communications and integrated communications experience — ideally in consumer brands, beauty, or personal care categories
  • A track record of owning communications workstreams end-to-end, with accountability for outcomes rather than just tasks
  • Business, industry and trade media relations experience
  • Experience working closely with external agencies and cross-functionally
  • Experience managing CSR or social impact programs & communications
  • Demonstrated experience supporting executive visibility programs, including speaking opportunities and thought leadership development
  • Experience developing content for executive digital channels (LinkedIn) and employer brand platforms
  • Familiarity with awards strategy, submission writing, or case study development
  • Experience utilizing AI in corporate communications work
  • Strong editorial instincts — you know what story to tell, how to frame it, and what angle will land with a given audience
  • Collaborative and a team-player
  • Highly organized — you can manage multiple workstreams simultaneously without letting anything slip, and you build systems others can follow
  • An exceptional writer — you produce tight, compelling copy across formats (press releases, bios, LinkedIn posts, award submissions, Q&A docs) with minimal editing needed
  • Proactive — you surface opportunities and issues before being asked, and you bring proposed solutions, not just problems, you can create structure where none exists
  • Culturally curious — you're genuinely interested in beauty, brand, and the kind of communications work that moves people
