Job summary

Carolina PRG partners with a fast-growing industry leader to hire a Director, Corporate Accounting at their Charlotte HQ. This leadership role oversees the Corporate Accounting team, ensuring timely, accurate consolidated financial reporting across multi-entity private-equity-backed structure, guiding close, policy, and external audits.

The ideal candidate will have deep U.S. GAAP expertise, CPA, 8+ years' experience, and proven ability to lead and develop staff, with advanced Excel and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA certification required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience in public and private sectors.
• Deep U.S. GAAP knowledge across revenue, leases, assets, and cash flow.
• Experience managing external auditors and leading audit engagements.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual close and consolidation for multi-entity structure.
• Guide close processes across multi-entity structure with timely statements.
• Own financial reporting for quarterly loan compliance deliverables.
• Prepare technical accounting summaries for CFO and exec leadership.
• Support ERP initiatives affecting GL, COA, and close automation with IT/Shared Services.
• Lead technical accounting policy and annual audit relationship.
• Document technical accounting positions on complex transactions.
• Maintain/update accounting policies across key areas (revenue, leases, assets, software, cash flow).
• Manage the external audit relationship, planning, and issue resolution.
• Strengthen internal controls over financial reporting in a PE-backed environment.
