Job summary

McCormick & Company in Hunt Valley, MD, seeks a Director Controllership Integration for a 50/50 hybrid role focused on leading the Controllership integration workstreams for the McCormick/Unilever Foods Transaction. You will oversee the Senior Manager Controllership Integration and drive cross-functional collaboration with Finance, IT, HR and external advisors.

This role requires deep technical accounting expertise, strong project management, and clear communication with executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years progressive Accounting/Finance experience with a minimum of 5 years public accounting.
• Experience in the consumer products industry is a plus.
• Experience leading M&A integration efforts and managing external advisor relationships.
• Demonstrated breadth and depth of US GAAP knowledge, especially under ASC 805 (business combinations).
• Experience with SEC filings requirements, including registration statements (S-4), pro forma financial information, and prospectus disclosures.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional workstreams and communicate with executive leadership.
• Proficient in SAP and Hyperion; strong command of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Own the integration activities related to financial reporting, including IFRS-to-US-GAAP conversion, accounting policy alignment, and external reporting requirements.
• Direct the preparation of pro forma financial information for an S-4 filing and oversee purchase accounting workstreams.
• Drive financing transactions, comfort letters, and secondary listing activity with Treasury, Legal and external advisors.
• Serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex accounting positions across the integration.
• Provide technical review and final approval of accounting positions across multiple sub-workstreams.
